A good example of this was Atlus with P5 back in 2016 when they basically only allowed you to play about 40% of the game's story on stream, they even sent out a few copyright strike to people on YT. But it got so MUCH public backlash and an overwhelming amount of people just outright ignored their rule, so they wind up getting rid of it, and haven't tried doing another rule like for any of the games they've released since
