I think male streamers stream longer and more popular than female streamers.

Vtubing can still be said to have niche appeal and the most watched all stream in JP exclusively, hard to compete with EN and SP streamers who get 100k viewers regularly.

They sample the viewer count every x seconds to get the average ccu so basically yes, then they just multiply by number of hours streamed.

Also I'm not sure why people are "coping" by mixing average ccu and total watched. Pekora streamed 116h in June, and is basically 100+ every month. Valkyrae and Pokimane both stream less hours than her.

Gura has high average viewers and good vod numbers but she streams sane hours so its hard for her to compete with these stream addicts. If she started streaming twice a day everyday like Pekora she would destroy her, especially since Gura's audience is spread across the globe so she could maintain good numbers in morning and evening streams.

Agreed I'm not saying she will or even should ever do this. Personally I think that 3 public and 1 member stream a week is just the right amount of content. But that said if she did a US morning stream that would fall in EU prime time and then a US prime time stream would be accessible to JP and AUS morning audience. So by doing two streams totaling 8 hours she could cover most of the world that matters.

Slightly less hours streamed, and apparently she had some rust drops thing in January streaming to 100k+ people for a few days. 266h in Q1, 252 in Q2. For comparison Pekora streamed 332h in Q1, and around 450h in Q2.
