>>63490454>AZKiAZKi got into the vtubing groove after INNK, she's pretty good, if a bit uneventful. I'd rate her above Roboco.
>Aki/MelMel showed a lot of improvement in her idol efforts and her 3Ds are great as a result. Aki is very high spec. Both of them missed out on the 2020 boom by their circumstances. I'd rate them above Matsuri.
>ChocoShe didn't adapt well enough after Cover cracked down on Erolive, she's at the correct place.
>MioShe's third in a very strong trio, no shame in that.
>FlareShe has some filters and Sankisei is legendary for a reason, she's good where she is.
>LunaNiche, but good. Personally I prefer her over the others, but the rest of the gen has more easily accessible content going on for them, so she's not going to catch up anytime soon.
>NeneNePoLaBo is just good altogether, it's mainly down to her going on extended breaks when she was depressed.
>Iroha/LuiBoth a bit unmemorable, but Laplus fell off so I'd rate them above Laplus.
>RirikaYoutube fucked her really bad, but she's very good, probably the top of the gen with Raden.
>IofiMoona is way higher on the totem pole than both her and Risu, so I don't really care who's more behind.
>AnyaShe has her own niche with focusing on JP, but needs to do more for outranking Reine and Ollie.
>KaelaIt's weird that she's the one who's behind when the ENs eat her up. I guess they like the idea of her endless grinding more than her actual content. Not that it's bad, mind you, but she falls into the "streams too much" category and that will filter people eventually, unable to keep up.
>KiaraProbably the best argument for the original statement, the original trinity absolutely crashed and burned while she kept her chin high and took on a leader role in the branch.
>BaeShe clears Kronii at the very least, but she's yet to show something truly unique and something that's unmistakably her in the branch.
>ShioriShe has to be on the spectrum and that will filter the audience. She's fun but taxing to listen to and she really needs to work on reaching out more for collabs and interacting with the rest of Hololive to get their viewers to boost her growth.
There's argument both for and against the original post, but I'd say if you strip it down to the raw numbers, the runts are mainly runts for easily explainable reasons. It's not like any of them need to dramatically change their approach to vtubing and numbers absolutely don't determine who's a good vtuber, only that who can appeal to the masses the best, which are often very shallow reasons.
