That doesn't work for YouTube streamers. It's not like Twitch where viewers just leave your tab open 24/7 and mute it when they get bored. If you're not actively funny or interesting the whole time, viewers will just click some other stream or video and leave. When they leave, YouTube will stop recommending your streams. It actually hurts your channel to be boring, surprise-surprise. That's why not streaming actually works on YouTube. Your channel doesn't get the bad baggage from streaming when you're tired, and your streams become like an event which the algorithm loves to push. You see, YouTube streaming and Twitch streaming are entirely different ecosystems.
Just look at Hololive:
- Kiara and Mori stream the most and get less viewers than Gura, Ame, or Ina.
- Bae streams more than any other Council/Promise member and gets the least viewers.
- Bijou, despite being praised on /vt/, is steadily dropping in viewers because she simply streams too much.
