Likely because they are fans and well as not to be mogged in views. NijiEN collab did it with spicy noodles, but I don't think it really affected them as much since they have stayed at around the same numbers for a while. Though, that's a little concerning for it's own reason. Let's compare with Ollie for example. She usually has a set number she usually gets. Somewhere within the range of 2,000~3,000 live viewers depending on subject. Maybe lower on a bad day. Then recently she got 10,000 for that Henry Stickmin playthrough as well as around 9,000 for that Human Ollie stream. I don't see a similar boost like that with NijiEN. They seem to be keeping the same audience but not doing much in the way to grow it beyond that. I think finana has lost a few already so I worry they might lose a whole lot of traction when they hit their 6 month anniversary.

Pomu got 5k playing henry stickmin and 12k near the end of her "singing God Knows 100 times" stream iirc. Elira could probably get better numbers if she did something similar.

What about meme review? They know coco do that series at that time yet they still set it so one of their talent goes up against that. The podcast was a stroke of bad luck for them but they didn’t take meme review into consideration which is their own fault.

It's naturally expected that some of them will be fans in the end. Some of them probably found the hobby because of them in the first place.
I follow a few JP and multilingual speakers that are also the same.
Of course, there's also the other side, I've known some that outright don't even know they exist and only heard about them from the chat. Some of them even became fans after the fact.

Pomu's spicy noodle stream went from ~2700 viewers in the first hour to ~2000 when the debut started. So it did take a notable chunk of the viewers, but nice to see 2k Pomudachis stick it out.
