Why did Cover forced her to change her original model? Why didn't they just keep her old model and just let her announce in her old channel that she's joining Hololive En so that most of her fans can move to her new Hololive owned channel? I'm sorry but her Irys model is just too ugly compare to her old model.

A new hololive guarantees massive numbers before they do anything. An adopted member is a complete crapshoot right now. At best the precedence is that people brought into the brand always perform poorly since Miko and Suisei underperformed for ages before their luck turned around without touching on Roboco.

That is not how it works. The style is based on the artist. That's why they always choose artists that have distinct art. You must be referring to themes. Themes is a generation thing. Irys is a generation of her own.

She isn't even officially graduated and just on hiatus like kson was when Coco joined. When Hololive declines or management starts fucking with her she can go back to her old character without any Hololive baggage.

I'm insanely skeptical of muh hololive brand right now. Either the brand is worhless because people will sub to a dumpster fire with the hololive logo slapped on, or the sub counts are artificially inflated through bots or sub farms.

I'm not even sure Gura actually earned those 3 million subs either. In fact, it could be that gura knows a fuckton of the numbers are fake and that's why she doesn't celebrate them. I think Niji might be inflating numbers to a lesser extent, and I'd wager small indies are the least likely to have screwed with their metrics.

There's no way Nijisanji is inflating numbers. Kuzuha mogs Pekora every single stream despite having half her sub count. Nijis with less than 300k subs get higher superchats/viewership/etc than established Holos with over 1m subs like Matsuri.
I'm most surprised Youtube's algorithm hasn't started mass deleting Hololive's subs like they do for random vtuber startups.

namirin got huge in osu after a very farmable(as in, low skill requirement for lots of performance points which are what the ranking system runs on) and somewhat memey(in terms of meta) map of her cover of Koi no Hime Hime Pettanko got ranked. She later became one of the licensed "Featured Artists", which is osu's attempt at looking less like a piracy game. The problem is that multiple FA's have gotten worse threatment in the arcade rhythm game scene, and in some cases wider music production scene. Sure, big names like Camellia and LeaF are unaffected, but smaller artists are now regretting signing up.
