>>6390890>Never knew how Topre feels like. They were overpriced back in the day, and got their meme status from that (and "but its just rubber dome!" trolling). In comparison to prices of small-run switches these days, it doesn't seem that expensive though?
I am a mech oldfag, but also haven't kept up with the "community", as it were. Old enough that I had to import my first Cherry Reds back in 2007, and had about six others. By 2012 I had a Realforce and settled on that. In 2017-ish I upgraded to my endgame, in the form of a Topre 45g Leopold with a Hasu board for the programmability. The Cambrian explosion of new switches seems amazing, and there's probably something I would love... I just don't feel the need for any of it anymore. Oneness with cup rubber forever.
