I'd argue they'd all have at least double the subs, 50% higher CCV, more superchats, and more memberships if they were labeled as "Gen 7" instead of being the 1st gen of a whole new, vaguely defined branch (the cover art for the gen even had a "7" within it). At least "Gamers" made sense versus "Dev_is."
I feel really bad for the girls, because, for the most part, they all seem pretty entertaining. Ririka is my personal favorite (though why they named her "Ririka" and not "Lyrica" [same kana] still baffles me) in that she has excellent chatting, gaming, and surprisingly very good English skills (probably one of the best, if not THE best in all of Holo JP). All of the girls have their own personally appealing niches and decent singing skills that can attract a large flavor of viewers. Whatever committee made the decision to create "Dev_is" and "Regloss" was clearly retarded and did not at all follow through with adequate marketing and explanations as to what the this group is supposed to represent. Despite Cover's epic incompetence here, hopefully over time more and more people will give these girls a chance, as they all clearly have something unique to bring to the table.
