The ideas behind IRyS's debut are poorly conceived, and in the long run will doom her to obscurity.

Firstly, she has a highly controversial design that diverges from the standard style of other Hololive girls. As Hololive moves towards expanding to other media, never have her appear in tie-in media with the other girls unless she was drawn off model. More importantly, she is being branded as a singer. The western vtuber audience - inarguably the main audience for HoloEN - is only casually interested in the musical side of Hololive. Not only that, but her songs seem as though they will be primarily (or exclusively) in Japanese, something that will further hinder her success among EN viewers.

She seems as though she's an attempt to stubbornly claw Hololive's reputation away from being a company of entertainers/streamers, and back towards musical idols. It's a dangerous gamble that shows they fundamentally misunderstand the market they're such a large part of.
