When their hololive career ends, they can easily transition into any other adjacent sphere, be it streaming or making videos or just doing media stuff like PR for some company. It might not make fuck-you hololive level money, but it's not going to die any time soon. If you detest doing something like that for the rest of your life then sure, earning as much as you can now while working on a degree to then switch field later makes sense for sure, but that's not a situation any of them are in I think.
I won't even mention that if the speculation about their income anywhere close to reality, they could just invest smartly and that would be an immense help, if not an outright ticket to early retirement. I'm pretty sure that's what a lot of them did already, Pekora and Marine talked about that kind of stuff.
