When the site even launched they had Shylily and Buffpup on the home page alongside Asmongold. And I actually like Buff but there's a lot of vtubers bigger than her, and it was obvious they wanted to bolster their rep in that area. Cue their immediate targeting of VShojo talents to poach, with Silver and Vei making the jump instantly. Nyan took longer, and Zen confirmed that Mythic had approached with an offer as well.
And right after they joined? They made a huge deal about how Nyanners, Silvervale, and Vei had joined Mythic, and wasted no time doing sponsored giveaways in their name and Buff was immediately kicked off the homepage in exchange for Vei. Things have changed a lot since then, but what hasn't is still giving those 3 premium space on the home page for all to see. It all adds up to the most likely scenario being the intentional targeting of VShojo members to give their own org more credibility with vtubers out the gate.
