also helps having longer weapons that swing in wider arks too to catch them when they're darting around
using a shield like she is isn't a bad option really for any boss that isn't gargantuan. it deploys at basically the same speed a roll will, but guarantees you'll at least mitigate some damage from attacks instead of getting fucked from a mistimed roll. very good if you're not confident you can continue dodging everything
