Now imagine what would happen in the next 10 years. Indonesia is not some Latin American or Middle East countries with unstable growth and high inflation. Indonesia is an Asian country with a healthy economic growth.
Imagine that with the knowledge that Japanese businessesmen always have a long term plan for their business. When East Asian creates a business, they won't just be there for 5 years, they have 20 years and longer plan in mind. Not all of them but you get the point.

We have vtubers, but it's mostly twitch whores whose oshis are either Mori or members of VSHOJO. I've given up on starting a vtuber company here earlier this year. There's simply no talent pool to draw from here.

Now consider some of the other more successful Indonesian holos like Anya, Kaela, or Moona who actually make money from places that have a real currency.
Maintaining the ID branch is easy as hell because it costs nothing at all. The benefits of doing this is having a literal money-printer

Indonesia is close enough to Japan and likes Jap culture enough that its a no-brainer to send your idol group there on an overseas tour or at least a show for a small bump in indo album sales + the prestige of becoming "international idols". Every decently popular idol group does it. Then there's enough residual goodwill that they'll eat up whatever indo spinoff of that group you give them. Hellopro did it, AKB did it, Sakamichi did it, Cover did it.

the weeb population of SEA Indog is in size rivalling much bigger countries but unlike those other places really really condensed as in there are around 5 weebs per 1km2.
and indogs cant provide for their own weeb needs, it makes it incredibly easy to export something from Japan to that place.
