Opera GX is not spyware any more than any other contemporary browser and unless you're using a self-compiled browser where you have access to the source code you can't be sure there isn't spyware capabilities in it. That is if you also trust your compiler.
Opera GX is no more spyware than any other browser, your biggest issue could be that a chinese company is a major stakeholder in it. But it doesn't seem to collect any more or different data from other browsers.
