>>6586115On the one hand, you stink, you'll find it extremely hard to do anything that required even mildly harder than average physical exertion (unless you work out, in which case its still a massive debuff), and unless you live in a 3rd world country, you'll pretty much be forced to persue your addiction in cramped, stinky, dirty places as people walking by glare at you jusgementally. You'll get sick easier, paeticularly with throat infections. Also in many first world countries, it's expensive - roll-ups usually less so, but it takes a while for most people to learn how to roll a good ciggie.
On the other hand, if you're in your 20s, its an easy way to talk to other people, and generally speaking, the saying is true - girls who smoke are usually a bit more sexually liberal, just as long as you have basic social skills. Its also just a cool way to kill time and have brief "my life is a movie" introspective moments, and cigs go really with both coffee and alcohol. So long as you keep down to about half a pack most days and you don't already have health issues, you can give up whilst in your mid-late 20s and basically suffer no long term health issues. Personally I didn't find it that hard to quit.
