Vtubing used to be massive a few years ago, it penetrated into general pop culture, even normies knew of the biggest clips (miko nword for example, EVERYONE on the Internet knew that). Now, even the biggest holos get drastically less views, the ENs mostly get sub 100k views per vod which is insane. Their outreach out of their own bubbles is practically non existant.

What happened? How? I can't really identify any key events to cause this, they just kinda whimpered out. This isn't a shitpost. I'm genuinely interested.
