>>66118445Mixing is a bit on the weak side, the girls do sound pretty good together when the track isn't overpowering them. Biboo and Shiori'n are still the weakest of the group but neither is awful. There's a lot of help there from the simplicity of the vocal, but I do think part selection was well done. Shiori definitely lacks power behind her voice so she gets lost in the mix because of it. Somewhat is the opposite direction, Biboo has power in her vocal, and the head voice cuts through the track pretty well without being shrill. Unfortunately there's not much in the way of dynamics.
Fuwa/Moco both do well in their sections and could probably use some individual vocal coaching while recording to bring out a bit of a brighter sound from Fuwawa. Mococo's biggest weakness in Karaoke is stability which isn't a problem in this song.
Nerissa is flexing her skills here, but I will say that I think she missed somewhat on the pronunciation and inflection in the bridge. She definitely has that American-Japanese accent going on. This is another case where I think a bit of in-studio vocal coaching would go a long way. It may also be a confidence thing with her as she doesn't get to use Japanese often so she might be too worried while performing.
I will say also, that while the track was a bit overpowering compared to the vocal, I do think they did a good job at harmonizing everyone and the loudness in the track might be there to hide some of the microphone / recording difference between the talents.
Either way, solid 8/10. Great song choice for a New Years celebration with the "Sore~ Sore~ Sore!" chant. Lyrically it's not exclusively new-years-themed, but I consider Die Hard a Christmas movie so fuck it.
