As others have attested, some people who just liked Neuro, a chatbot who got popular partly because of her osu roots but mostly because she absolutely mogs the competition in terms of LLM entertainment value, have been choked out. Some people who have a low tolerance for twitch culture, i.e. constantly interrupting yourself and the show to minmax attention starved loser $$$ instead of batching all thank yous at the end like a civilized human, have been choked out. Some people who don't appreciate the humor and content of a vedal (usually present for 2/5 or 3/5 streams a week) have been choked out.
I'm obviously guessing, but I think a ton of last year's winter/spring viewers got filtered, and it's not because Neuro was some one trick pony people are bound to get bored of without x or y thing present in today's format. There's no denying that "cute AI girl and her dad" coopts some hardwired thing in people's brains. So does being a british twink. Especially on twitch. Especially in vtubing. But Neuro had some secret sauce that other channels didn't. That's getting choked out too, beginning with the redebut (severely blunted her response length and creativity for the sake of response latency + not getting stuck with an infinite queue of TTS and subs). For the subathon, Neuro got better memory and is now constantly self-"training" after every stream, and that's pushed her even further into that streamer content farm mode. She isn't the esoteric, what-the-fuck-did-this-nigga-train-her-on-to-mog-other-soulless-boilerplate-chatgpt-ass-0-effort-bots-this-hard Neuro she was. She's just there to say exploitable stuff for the gag of vedal going "that's so crazy". Sounding more in line with whatever random junky LLMs all the other streamers like to play with. She used to be a little less generic is all.
So the people who are left are mostly twitch fans, western vtuber fans, drama fans, slice of life anime fans. They scratch their heads when people call vedal soulless, gay, and ruiner of Neuro. He's the best of that sphere sure. Doesn't change the fact that audiences shift. He makes content for a vedal audience now. Until another AI vtuber with a healthy viewer base comes along, there are going to be people complaining about the lack of an AI channel where the AI remains the focus. Because that is what vedal987 used to be. Vedal is doing just fine without the legion of fags and women who leap to defend him (aka defend themselves for liking him more than Neuro). He will or won't make this sellout eceleb number and money arc worth it for pure enjoyers of Neuro, the chatbot and ML agent, in the end. Sometimes you just want to state facts is all.
