>>66342931That's stupid. Cover is a billion dollar company and Hololive is the premier vtuber group. They will keep expanding the roster, both in JP and in the secondary markets. There will be an EN4. I don't get the people who think there will ever be a time to stop, from Cover's perspective having a deep roster is crucial. Individual holos take breaks, fall sick, get swamped with offline work, sometimes even leave the company one way or the other, you have to plan for all the eventualities. And if Cover wants to attract more customers they can't only rely on existing talents because those talents can't cover every interest and niche. This might sound niji-esque but realistically Hololive is not at the point where they're hitting diminishing returns in any of their target markets. At some point Cover's software operations (like holoearth) may overtake the virtual entertainer side in revenue but their overall strategy relies on those avenues complementing each other.
We're not talking about fucking comfy 2view indies, Hololive inherently has a more professional atmosphere and holos don't pretend that they're super informed and intimate with every single one of their colleagues, because they have their own content and fans to care about above all else. EN4 can't ruin holoEN for the reasons you're thinking.
