>>66346380NTA, Ame is a contrarian at heart.
This can be good when the audience are being pussies e.g. the whole sun station arc.
But in other, more serious instances, it can come off as extremely spiteful.
There's been multiple times on stream where she did "fake endings" to filter people that didn't stay till the stream ended. Iirc she even did this during an unarchived stream once. It's just some dumb mentality about "true teamates" or whatever, and even /here/ the narrative early on was that "trur teamates stay till the end" or what not.
There was also the Gurame collabs, but the excuse was a few retards spamming about Gura on her stream so no one realized it was her contrarian nature coming in again.
I also remember her not completing games that the audience actually liked on many occasions.
The homo stuff is where things came to a head. She knew she had goslings and people unironically in love with her (Kiara using that term is an easy giveaway). And she chose to use blue fag's song as a duet just because she knew a sizeable portion of her fanbase would be pissed off. Even before this, a lot of her fans were silently or vocally leaving due to her spitefulness, which is not the type of vibe people watch Hololive to experience. But until this moment, they were all considered "fake teamates" /here/.
The blue fag moment was when the narrative shifted, and teammates became assaulted with cuckposting, and it was all the more effective because of the existence of gosling posters.
Remember that Ame didn't get much complaints about the homo collabs, not as much as Kronii, because her biggest fans had left before then.
In the end, the homo collab arc didn't reduce her growth in any significant way, because she'd already filtered large portions of her fans before then due to her contrarian nature. All it did was get rid of the "true teamate" bullshit, and cause ex-teamate hate on her to be normalized.
