>>6650159>cheatedThe whole vtubing scene is supposed to be some kind of act; hiring someone to play the game while she pretends to be the one playing is just part of that act. Whether the actress behind her was ever a pro FPS player was irrelevant, just as it's irrelevant that Hugh Laurie was never a real doctor when he played one on TV. Then the scene shifted, and suddenly it's about livestreams and roommateposting and the idolfag audience.
Personally, I'd still rather watch a 15 minute compilation of a cute Futaba Anzu expy catgirl popping heads than watch a 4 hour stream of absolutely nothing happening, but I guess that era is over. The audience for shorter clips still exists and is pretty big, of course, but it's taken by clips channels... which I can't say I've ever seen much Hinata on any of them. Perhaps if a clipping channel caught a stream of her and got real obsessed for a few weeks, she could have some kind of resurgence. Unfortunately for her, that seems unlikely.
