Not a lot of people know this, but otakus often have a lot of disposable income. Because they're so dedicated to only earning for mainly two things: Their basic needs, and the hobby.
Most otakus are generally single, so they don't bother spending for shit like raising their own families or socializing and dating, because those are expensive. Some don't even want to earn to have luxurious lives or stuff like buy their own houses.
Hence why stuff like akasupas seem easy for some gachikois.
