That isn't the issue.
All that doesn't make her a disappointment.
It is the half-measures.
The big issue is the money left on the table.
She had all the qualifications.
The neotenic aspect coupled with even a cursory understanding of bardic magic.
If she wanted to be the shark, she would have become the shark.
She choose not to.
To be "the one" would require a sacrifice that she understood and wasn't willing to make.
Most women would never make that sacrifice and in that her choice is highly understandable and down right typical.
But unlike the vast majority she had the means to make that sacrifice and grasp the power where others reject something they couldn't have had in the first place.
It has afforded her some piece of mind, a line in the sand she dare not cross offering direction and focus, a singular pillar of "morality" with which to rest under.
But it is hard to see her choice as anything but cowardice and willful neglect of her god given talents.
