>>66862129Mel isn't that smart. I can see her talking to some of the people she's recently been collabing with from outside the company on discord and accidentally mentioning something like personal information of one of the other talents. Something like:
>Group: hey Mel, do you think we could set up a collab with X next week?>Mel: I'll ask, but I think X is going somewhere with her husband next week.Or some other kind of similar scenario where she's too comfortable with whomever she was talking with and mentions something she wasn't supposed to. If it involved details about something even worse, like a relationship between management/staff and a talent, then they would have personal reasons for wanting Mel gone.
There's no way she was intentionally leaking company secrets and so I think firing her over some accident without warning after 6 years of working together is simply too harsh and impersonal for a company like Cover that operates solely on the good will of fans and talents. Instead, her firing feels like an overreaction and was personally motivated by someone that wanted her gone after she accidentally mentioned something that would harm the reputation of management, another talent, or both if it were to get out.
When Rushia was terminated, they mentioned what kind of information she leaked that got her fired. But for Mel, Cover's released statement is purposefully vague. I can only imagine the reason they didn't specify the type of information that was leaked is because doing so would upset fans in some way. This whole situation is extremely suspicious and I find it hard to trust Cover, especially after their history with Mel in the past and because their statement is so conspicuously absent of anything meaningful. There seems to be some staff that are sympathetic with her because of what some of them tweeted and because they allowed Mel to make a farewell statement. So this feels like they're doing this to appease someone else rather than because they all actually want her gone.
