Part of it might be her personality, everyone says the same thing about her being warm and sweet, but I think part of it might be BECAUSE you didn't watch her much. For me, Mel is a Holo I mostly see in collabs and concerts. Someone like Korone, who I watch a lot, could quit tomorrow and I'd just watch her RM instead. I'd miss the cute dog face, but otherwise it'd be the same: long retro game streams with her making funny noises and bullying chat. The thing I know Mel for, she can't do anymore.
Her having been around so long makes it hurt more, too. Back in 2020, everyone would've understood if she quit, but she didn't. That made Hololive look good, I think. Now I don't know what to think.
If I knew CN, I think I would've cried watching Yogiri's concert.
