Think about how fucking boring actual irl streamers that don't put on personas and are just being themselves are, usually you watch those guys for their gameplay or whatever. Then you get your Junichi Katos and you xqcs that put on a persona (even though most of it is still them) and they're hugely popular for it.
vtubing is basically a form of media that necessitates that streaming style because the character you're incarnating ISN'T you. Think about the Regloss chicks, it's quite possible, in fact incredibly likely that someone like Raden (before she quit) drinks and smokes and shit but she played up the sangen-kasu appeal for the character's sake. Kanade may actually be dumb and loud but it's likely she's playing up traits of hers to be entertaining, Ao is literally supposed to be playing a lady-killer prince girl archetype, Ririka is playing up her girliness and ramping up the gachikoi appeal, and Hajime can actually play into her speech impediment for the cuteness while she also can fall back on the character setting of being a sukebancho for comedic effect.
The point is, what you're seeing and observing from them ISN'T how they actually are irl, the point of the medium is to take things from yourself, take things from the character, and ramp some things up and downplay others in order to incarnate a given character. It's a synthesis, neither wholly them nor wholly the char setting.
You meanwhile go on some dumb retarded parasocial tangent about muh GENUINE and muh liking her for who she really is when all your really doing is propagating some malformed seaslur doxxnigger cargo-cult version of vtubing that is more about trying to imagine a connection where there isn't.
If I'd ever donate to or member for a vtuber, which I never have, it'd for sure be for the character and the stream quality over some dumb virgin delusion about actually falling in love over some woman incarnating the character I don't even know irl. Go outside and make some real friends if you care about some dumb lobotomy patient tier concept of genuine connection then, at least you'll actually get it that way
