someone's never experienced Holostars @ AGF, actual fucking bloodbath. Stars fans are big spenders but there's less of them and Cover is increasingly finding new ways to skimp the boys out on merch opportunities. At the very least I've seen a bunch of them make their own nuis, keychains and other merch they want of the boys because Cover won't give it to them.

Cover is at the size and popularity to where they could easily get a lot stingier and greedier and as long as they could make talents look like they were crazy for whining since we're all fans of the brand first, talents second. In the same way that hololive had a slow start in its beginnings, but then a rising tide in popularity picked up all the girls exponentially ; even the ones that weren't performing the best. Yes, they do make money. The upkeep of a vtuber is minuscule, and the ad revenue, donations, merch and sponsorships are more than enough to keep Holostars operational. They'd be able to go on even without Hololive.
