>>6758330I'd say so. Storytelling and fleshing out the world are both skills important for a good GM, although you'll definitely need other skills like ability to improv and react to player actions.
Even so, just worldbuilding alone can be a nice exercise in creativity.
What I like to do is mix my drawing/art work and worldbuilding - drawing the stuff from those worldbuilds, and then extrapolating possible scenarios using those visuals. Maybe you could consider doing the same?
