Men are seen in the background in some scenes, but overall have no major role. Love Live is similar. Idolm@ster has a larger role, but the males are either male idols (rivals) or Producers/CEOs and either self-inserts for (You) or irrelevant to the story.
There are many anime which are not CGDCT where males play a role. Hololive is cgdct however.
