If the ball is caught in the air, the batter gets tagged with the ball or the plate gets tagged by the ball holder defending the plate, the batter is out. If the batter makes it to home plate, their team gets a point. At three outs, the sides switch, the pitching team goes up to bat and the batting team becomes the pitching team
