Like for example if the 2% fiasco had never gotten so much publicity they'd probably still think it's the industry norm or some shit. Or how the whole internet, even outside of /here/ is turning against them, it really erodes all purpose in trying to "build" something in that place.
Pomu was possibly the only genuine fan of the actual company who worked in EN and if even she got buckbroken enough to quit, then there's really nothing left to salvage. Obviously the grifters who only want a cozy streaming job don't give a shit but anyone who actually wants to be a vtuber out of passion will only find frustration in Riku's yacht factory.
