Managers are a necessary evil. It's part of the corporate formula and if done right it works, but no one if perfect so mistakes will be made. Especially since a lot of these companies are trailblazing the industry and taking pretty wild international steps. I would imagine it is hard to wrangle chubas from overseas, let along making sure their overseas managers are doing their jobs correctly. Add in cultural differences and i imagine it might be difficult.
Keeping the balance between the corps, their managers and the talents is essential and each corp has a different philosophy with it's own pros and cons. But if a manager goes bad or takes advantage it could cause issues. Look at the Omega situation if that was true, and what is currently happening with niji talents fleeing like it is the titanic.
