>>68168371Thread culture was initially inherited from /vyt/ and back then there were enough nijifans in /jp/ that half the thread would be arguing about the OP no matter who was used.
/vyt/ tried to resolve this by taking turns, but the resident /jp/ nijimeido used to seethe about holo OPs quite a bit and deleted a lot of them. Holofans still persisted because they were just there to see cute girls have fun.
/#/ was modeled similarly, and used to be more tolerant about discussion of other corpos but the discord leak and years of shitposting from non-holo fans strained that tolerance over the years.
We still had years of non-chuuba OPs, which did NOT help with the schizos or the nijinigs or phasenigs.
At some point it became clear that the thread would be shit no matter the OP, so why hide the fact that we're a HOLOTHREAD on the HOLOBOARD?
Other chuubafags can kiss the ring if they want to discuss their shitters.
It helps that Holo is the market leader in both EN and JP, and the remaining NijiJP fans are all on discords or back at /jp/.
The JP number thread split also meant the end of the last few autists who cared about shit like thread culture.
