>>68272715Dude, back in the T7 days, there was a huge tourney that had great players and a positive reception from viewers, but the Bandai Namco guys told them to stop because of some weird vague company policy shit. Happened with Fighterz as well, which is why there were so little tourneys back in its hay day. It got so much backlash that the former manager stepped down and Harada himself took over, which is how there’s way more stuff tourneys happening with both games now.
I dunno anything for real, I’m not Japanese or in the industry, but there’s been enough cases where Japanese companies shoot shit down like this that I’m starting to suspect that there’s some really retarded rules that these out-of-touch managers follow for some godforsaken reason, and since they never tell us what the fuck ever goes on for real, all us goobers can do is guess and hope it gets fixed.
