>>68317958Ain't that streaming in general? Obviously not everyone but definitely a lot of the top ones.
Top streamers all over the world are often selfish and think the world revolves around them. Being terminally online with poor social skills, can't take no for an answer without a hissy fit, can't do basic chores or hire help while being a millionaire living in filth. Many of these "content creators" have turned out to be groomers/pedos/rapists, or family abusers or have crazy extreme views. I'd argue most political/crypto/self-help type creators are all hypocritical sociopaths too.
Vtubers just happen to use a png avatar and the barrier to entry is pretty low to become one. The only chuubas we watch tend to at least be moderately successful already and the successful ones usually have strange quirks. It's not as easily appealing to watch an average well adjusted person with average opinions playing games with average level of entertainment or energy. It's why 99% of people trying to become a streamer will never make it.
Shouldn't be shock this line of work is also a pool for mental health cases to thrive.
