>>68371307You can replace the first one with anything that actually explains how contemporary Japanese society works. The second one is about the history of internet and internet culture in general, that includes NND. There's a few other books about that, bit this is the only one I've read so far.
Hiroki Azuma is absolutely worth to check out, he's a philosopher who often writes about otaku-related topics, while Galbraith is one of the most notable western researchers of Japanese media and pop-culture.
Oshi, moyu (the book on the pic) is actually not that good imo, but it's won many awards and the description of the main character's emotions towards her oshi is quite relatable.
You can just go along these lines, these are fairly popular topics with lots and lots of researches in both English and Japanese. I recommend delving into it, if you're interested, you can find some very fascinating stuff. For instance, I just ordered 承認欲求女子図鑑 ~SNSで出会ったヤバい女子たち~ which, based on the synopsis, is essentially a collection of interviews with unironic menhera egirls, and a similar book, 「ぴえん」という病 SNS世代の消費と承認 in which a 21yo girl explains the dark side of SNS culture including stuff like suicide culture etc.

/rrat/, /HiRyS/ and /wah/, though I usually hide my powerlevel and just post about the streams or my desire to mating press Bae.
