Of course the question is, would that be better for them being indie vs being Nijis? probably not. The ones who have left leave because shit gets unbearable and those two seem to have made the whole branch bend to their liking instead, so if anything they probably have extra incentive to try to preserve the biased/coddled (but doomed) world they have created. If Riku kills in the branch or they get booted (for example if new management comes along that doesn't play their games at all) then sure they'd be out, but it seems they will not be leaving willingly and that is not too hard to believe.
