They were being compared even before Nerissa was known outside of one or two anons who noticed her collabing with small corpos. Beryl has always had more influence in /vt/ even without numbers and since hololive dominates everything due to brand loyalty, it's a lost cause to compare them nowadays.

I would still be concerned desu. That said, I think some caught unto the fact she never did any karaokes and mostly stuck to covers since they're the only ones on her channel, but eh, I could be wrong. I do agree her studio singing is excellent but Clara beats her hands down with live singing.

It's much easier to compare her to IRyS since they're both bilingual and excellent live singers, and better performers overall.

Yeah Nerissa is nowhere near as good in Karaoke as in studio singing.
But she has already gotten better. We get to have a bit of an idol growth journey with her on that.
I was one of those concerned for Nerissa pre-debut (though not as much as some other anons. Kiara has a massive red flag PL but has been nothing but professional as a Holo for example) but I have no significant complaints about her after 6 months.
