>>68538584I agree and /vt/ is full of dumb monkeys looking for reasons to shit on 200 vtubers who did nothing wrong because they like drama. I like Selen and subbed to Dokibird, and I think it's terrible what she had to go through, and I hope she succeeds with whatever the future holds, but that doesn't justify trying to end the careers of innocent people.
1. Nijisanji has rules which Selen agreed to. She ended up disliking these rules and broke them. I don't blame her. Just because someone makes a rule doesn't mean it's a good rule and it sounds like her situation goes beyond this and is actually a problem with NijiEN's ability to communicate with Anycolor. If I were in her situation, I might've done the same thing. The Japanese would never agree with this because they think rule-following is a virtue, even if it loses you money or worse. However, just because she finds the way they work intolerable doesn't mean everyone does and it's unfair for the public to make that decision for them. It would be selfish of me to expect all my coworkers to quit our company just because I had had enough of their policies. That's for the individual to decide. The very last people who should decide this is the public, we don't live in a communist shithole and shouldn't strive to. If the workers think the company's bad, they'll leave. That's it.
2. Selen must've gone through a lot to resort to self-harm and there's no understating how bad I feel for her, but that in and of itself is not evidence of wrongdoing. Some people hurt themselves sometimes, and while it's unlikely they'd do it for no reason, you can't use it as a judge for what they've been through. Some people see death and ruin before their eyes and don't hurt themselves; some people hang themselves because they failed a quiz. It's not a gauge for anything. Are you seriously going to let people manipulate you through suicide baiting? You have to be over 18 to post here.
3. We don't know who was bullying her or how. It's possible the bully or bullies didn't even realize what they were doing would be perceived as bullying. Rushia also complained about wanting to leave Hololive and later suicide baited because someone was gaslighting her, but no one uses this as ammunition to tear Cover down.
Nijisanji is full of talented vtubers (many of whom are loved by Holos and others) who've been there for years. If they want to leave, they can. I highly doubt they want a bunch of foreign trolls making that decision for them. Grow up and stop acting like SEA monkeys.
