I just don't understand the logic in releasing this statement. It's like seeing a blazing fire and thinking "You know what this needs? A can of gasoline." It wins no one over to your side and alienates people who may have previously supported you. I'll just put this over here with the rest of the fire.

As you know, it pissed off some people enough to drop their sponsorships with Nijisanji. But hell, it doesn't even apply just to the companies that had the sense to back out. Any company that supports Nijisanji from here on out is going to be harassed so hard that even if they don't care what Nijisanji did, they'll back out so they don't feel the PR/sales hit. It is hard to comprehend how they made literally every stupid decision they possibly could make in this situation.
