It's not as if corporate themselves are in direct contact with their livers, yet they are the ones responsible for putting out these official statements etc. Multiple people have to cooperate to make a cooperate entity function
Either your claim is that whoever manages Selen directly is making up claims regarding their communication, in which case this could easily be proven or disputed by Selen herself..
Or for the most part you can safely say that companies tend to lie by omission rather than making up stuff out of thin air, as that would potentially cost someone their job or open them up to potential lawsuits, which is again for their reputation as a whole which is why they don't do that
