To have these oldfags being this much of a pain in the ass, talking about how shit everything is, like fucking grandpa ranting about how what you are doing is shit and how "the good old times were better" is bullshit.
"The good old times" were crap, they are always crap no matter what. But some people see those times with rose-colored glasses and ignore the bad things it had.
If something changed, it changed because there were mistakes, not because of a "new" wave of people gathering.
I started watching vtubers with Kizuna Ai, I stopped because I found her uninteresting long-term, I thought all vtubers were the same uninteresting crap because of her. Now, I watch hololive, and they do give a different feeling, but I'm not crying because they are no longer like Kizuna Ai, I accept it.
What Kizuna Ai did, prerecorded gameplays and skits (both of which aren't even the pinnacle of creativity), worked at the time, they don't work now. She ended up leaving because her time had passed, and she's right.
Even then, sometimes hololive does prerecorded things too. The main hololive channel is full of those.
