Every video I've seen on the Selen drama is retarded just for this point.
Nijisanji is bad because they are absolutely incompetent and malicious. Not all japanese vtuber agencies are like this. Constantly saying Niji is bad (true) then saying "Oh they're only bad because all japanese companies are like this" takes out the real evil of Anycolor. It's like they can't help it. But when you look at Hololive, a company that puts in a huge chunk of it's profits into talent remuneration and builds a state of the art studio that doesn't even exist in japan right now just for their talents, how can anyone claim them to be similar?
It deflates how evil Nijisanji is at it's core to claim they're bad because that's just how japanese companies are.
People should be comparing Niji to Holo and showing what a legitimate company that cares about it's talents does that Niji doesn't. Like giving them their play button. Like giving them 50% of merch sales. Like giving them breaks for any amount of time whenever they want it. Like paying for their flight tickets and lodging when they're asked to go to japan. Like giving them concerts that are always sold out.
Almost as bad is the "They own you!" when talking about vtuber agencies but that's an argument for another time.
