>>6898870>so shes trying to branch out herself before she collabs with Gura like she used toThis part's just speculation, by the way. Ame's collab policy follows two undeniable rules, anything else is speculation:
>If someone asks her, she'll do it>If she's the one asking, then it's whenever she feels like it, and it's rare that she asks because she prefers to go solo (and the one she's asked most often is Gura)That QnA took place on Dec 10, and her next few collabs with Gura (not counting the Die Hard watchalong which had already been scheduled for Dec 12) were on Dec 26, Jan 18, Jan 31, and Feb 12, then finally a longer break (with no obvious reason as to why). That's a lot for someone intentionally "branching out" so as to not look like someone's "sidekick." In addition, keep in mind that Ame was not addressing Gura's fanbase even though they were probably the ones sending those questions. She was expressing that sentiment to her own fanbase, because they're the ones that actually matter. Gura's fanbase is massive and most will only ever care about Gura no matter what Ame does.
People want to look for an external factor to blame for lack of weekly Gura/Ame collabs like in October (because, if we're being honest, they're obsessed) and the comment from the QnA is an easy out. But I highly doubt there is any ulterior motive behind high or low frequency of collabs for anyone. Last week when Kiara was creaming herself over Ame she mentioned that there's no particular reason she hasn't collabed much with Ame even though she loves her. There's no reason to assume it was any different when Gura and Ame went 3 months without any, or when Ina and Ame went 3+ months without any, and so on, with the possible exception of scheduling issues when one party is known to be very busy like Ina or Mori are. It just happens sometimes.
