>>69159652She didn't ghost him, she simply was taking 36 hours to reply back - it's Christmas in Canada after all. However, Christmas is not a holiday in Japan, it's viewed more akin to Valentine's day so a manager taking two days to reply to an email is on him. Nijisanji would only mention the allegations if they thought there was validity to them, that way they can try to taint said allegations by associating them with her workplace infractions. Otherwise there would be no reason or possible gain to do so. If my schizophrenic classmate came to me with a document alleging I raped her, the last thing I would do is go on Twitter and say, "Hey, if my classmate accuses me of raping her in her dormroom - don't believe her, she's crazy." The fact that Selen was on radio silence for weeks is what makes it a stealth suspension. It was only after Selen chose the nuclear option that management was making her twitter posts and skinwalking her whilst she was still in the hospital. The wording of the termination came off as vindictive and unnecessary. It's more likely Selen was seeking to negotiate rather than sue considering she was never informed she was terminated and found out second-hand. Which implies she was seeking to mediate before suing or quitting. There's also nothing to indicate that Selen intended to make anything public and the fact that Nijisanji assumed she would is why they're in the position they are now. It took us this many days and this much prodding from Nijisanji for Dokibird to be the first one to divulge the two suicide attempts, everything else was published first by Nijisanji.
Selen claims it was a test recording so both parties knew of the video, not that said video would be saved. Assuming however it was done in secret, it may be shitty, but Selen wanted evidence of favouritism - still not attention whoring. There was nothing to indicate the worrying information would be doxxed since it was lawyer-to-lawyer communication. I doubt her lawyer told her to dox her coworkers, lawsuit or not. Dokibird responded to the video by saying she would make a statement, not that she would make the document public.
They can change the evidence by providing "context" or trying to claim Selen bullies as well. If you have evidence of you getting punched, the person can say you told him them to punch you before the video, they can say it was a recorded skit, they can say you punched them first and they were retaliating, they can make any lie needed to fight it. It's why lawyers hold evidence until the trial so not the accused don't have time to prepare a story before the cross-examination. Zaion had 0 legal trouble because the damage was already done when they destroyed her reputation with the termination notice that was written the same way as Selen's. No one believed Zaion until now and Anycolor's reputation was untouched by Zaion screaming into the wind. Now that their attempt to Zaion Selen has backfired, they're willing to do anything to salvage their situation.
With what money? Selen's 200k debt? They're either doing pro-bono because they smell a payday or they're lying to Selen about her chances for no real gain.
Selen didn't file a HR complaint because she never fully got the chance to, she was fired two hours after she made contact with management. And I do believe Niji would behead her over a HR complaint rather than put up with whatever demands or attempts of redress she tried to make. They thought it was good PR to tell everyone they were firing her after a suicide attempt over a music video, I can buy them choosing to fire Selen to save themselves a short-term headache.
Then why didn't they do the stream alongside the CEO's announcement? Was that not prime time? I would consider it malicious if one TV show made an unannounced episode shitting on another TV show right when their timeslot began. In fact, TV shows fight for timeslots all the time. In fact, it's very common for companies to try and sabotage each other by timing their products the same times as theirs - look at Blizzard always releasing their World of Warcraft updates and patches whenever a new RPG game comes out.
