I can tell you a just-so story. For example: the situation has demonstrated how much of a minefield that vtubers are, and how especially fickle the foreign markets can be. Any agencies that relies on growth in foreign markets, even as a minority of overall growth, might now seem more risky than before this incident. It doesn't mean they think Cover is doing a bad job, or will do a bad job, but simply that the entire category of business might be riskier than they expected, and are reducing their exposure in response.
That sounds about right, but you shouldn't believe me. But unless you find and ask all of the people currently selling these stocks, you can't have full confidence in any explanation.
