The reason I blame Kant is that his philosophy often manifests itself in people taking everything to the logical extreme, roughly following his categorical imperative.
Protestanism very broadly is reducing Christianity to its absolute essentials (scripture and faith), getting rid of everything that catholics added ontop over the centuries.
Kiara was watching someone circumvent a physical paywall, and came to the conclusion that their actions are unethical and the right thing to do would be to snitch on them.
And to that very much seems like she took a kantian approach to evaluating this.
