As someone who knows relatives that had more than 5 kids, without that support structure, shit gets bad. My grandmother had as much if not more siblings than Rissa's dad did, and that was a struggle, my father had 8 siblings, just because you CAN do that doesn't mean you should, that is grueling, exhaustive work on top of what you would have to support that family. And as Rissa herself sees, has a chance to sow not so savory issues with neglect despite one's best intentions. Sure they are happy(ish) NOW, but that is because opportunity came their way in various ways. That doesn't always happen, nor should you dump kids in trying situations just because. That's fucking irresponsible.
