what they mistake is, they were nothing -before- the company. the company makes them into someone. but the company can't take that something away once it's been put there, the only way that happens is if the talent voluntarily debuffs herself out the ass.
kinda random but I would say that so far look at how doki has fared vs coco -> kson. I'd argue coco really did need Holo as a company to do her thing, in part because her most famous content was extremely meta and whole-company oriented. so without any trace of asacoco or meme review, kson isn't as successful (still does fine enough, it just doesn't feel the same). for selen though? her content objectively did not really need to piggyback nijiEN much. all she did was drag around toddler-skill people in the game most of the time when playing with nijiEN and play nice about it. her tourneys, etc it was all her and her alone. for selen, it's the fucking other way around - nijiEN needed her to be complete, she doesn't need them.
