I was under the impression that this was the case early on but changed significantly by around late 2022.

That said, until now I really did expect Niji to still be more popular than Holo because it has a lot of female fans. So even though I knew it kinda changed a while ago, it is still surprising for me to see how far Holo is now in popularity compared to Niji.

That's what i've been saying... it's so obvious from how hololive stuffs are around in Japan more than nijisanji ones. I pointed that out to people and got shitted on, apparently its not there because it's sold out while hololive ones are not? kekw

Personally I know many hololive JP fans who jumped ship from nijisanji too

Quite often a single hololive stream represents 70-90% of the people watching a specific game on YouTube (because game streaming on YouTube is dead), but if you click on that game their stream doesn't show in the live tab
This being Google it's impossible to tell if they're doing that on purpose or if it's just broken
